Our Haggen Cinnamon Swirl Bread is always a morning favorite! Add it to this Baked French Toast recipe and you’ll never go back to regular bread again. This is the perfect make-ahead dish that you can just pop in the oven in the morning. Allowing the eggy mixture to soak into the bread overnight is highly recommended for a dense, rich-flavored French toast casserole.
Cinnamon Swirl Bread Baked French Toast

Ingredients
- 1 loaf Haggen Cinnamon Swirl Bread
- 1 stick butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup half & half
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Melt butter and mix with the brown sugar. Spread evenly in bottom of a large baking dish.
- Place the bread slices on top of the butter and brown sugar mixture to cover. Mix the eggs and half & half, pour over the bread slices. Cover the baking dish and refrigerate overnight, or for 6 hours prior to baking. Bake at 360° for 15–18 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Dust with powdered sugar just prior to serving.
